I've been collecting a few random things this week that seemed worth sharing. A little bit of philosophy, some design tools, and the usual tech experiments.

I've been collecting a few random things this week that seemed worth sharing. A little bit of philosophy, some design tools, and the usual tech experiments.

Design & Wisdom

First up, a really cool edition of The Meditations, Marcus Aurelius. This illustrated, abridged version looks amazing and it reorganizes the passages into thematic chapters and brings the wisdom into sharper focus.

Speaking of design, I was looking for some font options and was reminded about Font Squirrel. Great for finding free fonts that are actually quality and have commercial-use licenses.

Tech & Toys

On the hardware front, Teleport by Slant 3D and designed by Luke Edwin. Came across this after watching some YouTube videos about the DJI Osmo Nano. If I get a macro lens for my Nano, this looks like a must have addition to protect the Nano itself and the lens.

For the software side, Textream looks like a neat little utility for macOS. It's a live teleprompter that highlights your script in real time as you speak. As I was thinking of doing some more shorter form videos, I've been looking into options for tele prompting. Could be a good one!

Then there is SuperrBook. It's an AI notebook that's supposed to make learning fun and help understand what you write without distractions. While geared towards kids, the design and gadget itself look awesome. Maybe I'll get one for the kids and "borrow" it.

Music

New album from Converge, one of my all time favorites. Been obsessively listening to this and am going to write a post about how much I love this band!
