Still reeling from that Bears loss, what a season and what an amazing team.
This week leaned heavily musical. A new find in Mei Semones, a reminder of how great Lucy Dacus’ last record really is, and a set of on ear headphones on Kickstarter that caught my attention. There’s also a new local voice to text tool worth checking out and some cool CSS scroll effects I bookmarked while looking into updating my site. Last but not least a new game from Peter Molyneux that looks incredible.
Mei Semones - Norwegian Shag
Another track finding its way into my rotation. I discovered Mei Semeones thanks to Rick Beato's top 10 of 2025 list. Is math jazz a thing? Anyway, it's pretty amazing and crossing a lot of genres while staying in the jazz realm.
Lucy Dacus - Modigliani
Love this album. Lucy Dacus is an amazing singer and songwriter, and almost every track is a standout. I noted this one in my log as a reminder to keep coming back to it.
Sotto - Local AI Dictation
Another voice to text tool to check out. This one is for macOS and uses local AI, which is always a plus for privacy. I'm still using Spokenly, but am thinking of giving this one a go at some point.
Zaylli LYRÖ Headphones
Watched a preview about these and consider my interest piqued! They're billed as the world's first open back headphone with a rotary sound curve switch. Not digital EQ, but an actual physical switch that switches between different modes. Saw a preview on YouTube and they could be a portable powerhouse. Haven't had a pair of on ear headphones in a long time, maybe these are they!
